IDCGS regards itself as a international organization, independent of the political authorities, denominationally neutral and dedicated to the public interest.
It is seeking official recognition as a non-profit-making institution both in the United States, and in all other countries in which it pursues its activities.
The purpose of IDCGS is to foster international relations and support humanitarian goals in alignment with the mission and principles of the United Nations.

Function
IDCGS facilitates diplomatic collaboration, supports humanitarian efforts such as peacebuilding and education, promotes conflict prevention, and upholds impartiality and respect for the sovereign equality of states in accordance with the Vienna Convention.
Encourage Global Collaboration:
Facilitate dialogue and cooperation between diplomats and patron members to address global challenges and build stronger international relations.
Serve the Global Community:
Leverage diplomatic expertise to improve diplomatic studies and promote other fields of education. Contribute to peacebuilding, sustainable development, heritage and cultural protection, and global humanitarian efforts, including charitable contributions, in the most positive moral and humane way possible, with special attention to developing countries.
Involve Patrons and Donors:
Each member is committed to respecting the aims, spirit, and rules of this organization. The IDCGS is dedicated to creating a supportive environment for diplomats and patron members to excel in their roles and advance the shared goals of global stability and mutual understanding. It does not discriminate based on the cultures or religions of different countries and is firmly committed to the fight against terrorism.

In every country where an IDCGS International mission is established, the operation is led depending on its rank and status either by an appointed Secretary General or, in the case of a high-level diplomatic presence, by a Head of Mission.

Distinguished members recognized for their notable contributions.
Honorary Members
Individuals who have made significant contributions to the expansion or promotion of IDCGS.

Individuals or organizations that contribute financially or support IDCGSβs activities.
